For businesses looking at a fractional CMO

Need a fractional CMO? You might need the work done.

A fractional CMO is a part-time marketing lead: they set the plan and usually hire others to deliver it. I do both. I set the plan with you, then build it myself, from the website to the CRM. For a small business that needs work done, not just direction, that’s often the better fit.

Is this you?

You need a plan and the hands to do it

A fractional marketing director who only advises leaves you hiring a team to deliver. That’s two costs.

You can’t justify a full-time hire yet

A senior marketing hire is a big fixed cost. Part-time help that flexes month to month is easier to carry.

Sales and marketing don’t talk

I spent 12 years selling, so the marketing I build is shaped around how deals actually close.

Straight answer

What I’m not.

I haven’t held a CMO title. If you need someone to run a large marketing department, manage a big budget or sit on your board, hire an experienced fractional CMO. If you need the work done well by someone who understands sales, talk to me.

Questions

Common questions.

What does a fractional CMO do?

A fractional CMO leads marketing part-time: strategy, budget, hiring and reporting, usually for a few days a month. Most direct a team or agencies rather than doing the work themselves.

How much does a fractional CMO cost?

In the UK, fractional CMOs commonly charge a day rate or a monthly retainer, and retainers often run into several thousand pounds a month. My plans start at £995 a month and include the doing.

Is a fractional CMO worth it for a small business?

It is if you already have people or agencies to direct. If you don’t, you’ll pay for direction and then pay again for delivery. A hands-on lead who does both is usually better value at that stage.

Can I start small and add more later?

Yes. Start on Foundations and move to Growth Desk or Partner when there’s a big build coming. Plans change from your next billing date.
